After doing a little online research last night on the Air Car so I could respond to a reader’s query I became quite confused. A week ago there was only one Air Car, the one designed by MDI Enterprises S.A. and manufactured by Tata in India. Now if you search for Air Car you’ll find The Air Car Factories S.A. at the top of your search results.

Like a few Aussies I know Trev might be a little rough around the edges and missing a few of the items that would make him roadworthy. That doesn’t mean he can’t scrub up a bit and compete on the world stage with a little help. I’m sure that with some modern manufacturing techniques and mass produced modern materials Trev could lose some weight and become stronger and more efficient.

After listening to Dr Ziggy Switkowski espouse the benefits of nuclear power I must admit I was beginning to entertain the idea of nuclear power in Australia. However, a regular reader has found an interesting article that suggests a number of nuclear power plants in the Southern United States may be forced to shut down due to drought conditions currently being experienced. The dry conditions Australia has recently experienced have given me cause to reconsider.

For those of you interested in electric motors for bicycles the BionX system is an option. The rear hub mounted system is controlled by the rider and uses a strain gauge to enable the motor to provide a number of preset levels of assistance on top of the effort being expended by the rider. Depending on which model you buy the assistance can be anywhere from 25 to 300 percent.
