New Euro Ford Focus released - range includes ethanol, CNG and LNG engines
Posted on 24 September 2007 by Luke Hallam
The 2008 Ford Focus was unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The interesting thing about the new model is the alternative fuel options available to European buyers.

The options are:
- a flexifuel version of the 1.8-litre Duratec petrol four-cylinder engine that runs on E85 or any mix of E85 and unleaded,
- a CNG (compressed natural gas) version of the 2.0-litre Duratec petrol engine, and
- a LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) version of the same 2.0-litre Duratec petrol engine.
I asked the same question before of the Honda Civic GX. Why no CNG option for Australia? We’ve got heaps of the stuff and a ready made distribution system in lots of cities and towns.
